Are you a Racist?

When was I TEN-YEARS OLD? 1955. Dr. Massey gave one of the most profound lectures I have ever heard. How can I say that? Because I heard it in the 1970s and I can remember it as if it were yesterday. In short, Dr. Massey suggested that a child develops all the personal traits and beliefs by the time they reach their tenth birthday, give or take a year. Think about it. What life-lessons did you learn from your parents, siblings, family, teachers and friends before you became smarter than they were? Who were you friends? What did you learn from your teachers? What did you learn on the street from your friends some of whom could have had questionable character traits and beliefs of their own. Who mentored you growing up? What “tel-a-vision” shows did you watch that helped you to form your characteristics and beliefs? I misspelled television on purpose because they do not call it a “boob tube” for nothing. The silver screen is used to send direct and subliminal messages to all who watch. Our minds have been programed by the “vision” the silver screen “tells”, thus tel-a-vision. We have unconsciously trusted what we have watched not really understanding that what we were watching was nothing more than mind-programing; thus tel-a-vision programing. Do you see it?
Except for the occasional atom bomb drills in elementary school where we were directed to take cover beneath our wooden student desks, for me, all was well in the world. The world was between the Korean War, sorry conflict, and the fiasco of Vietnam.
Dr. Massey asked in his lecture, when you are talking with someone, have you ever felt you were on different pages even though you were talking with family, friends, employers, co-workers or customers. Dr. Massey proved that when I was ten, in 1955, if I was talking to someone that was ten in 1935, we would have dramatically different beliefs and thought processes. If you were ten in 1935, you were between the great depression followed by WWII. In either case, people were forced to be frugal because everything was so hard to come by. That was not the case in 1955. If you were ten in 1965, it was the age of free love and drugs and the Vietnam War; not a good combination. Can you understand that this is one of the major reasons that people are “on different pages” in their lives, if you fail to understand that, conflict may and probably will erupt.
Fast forward that thought to 1995. In 1995 I was a real estate broker and I hired agents who were ten in 1975 or later. I came from a world where everything was great; they came from a world where Vietnam had taken over 50,000 lives on our side alone and politics was hard to avoid because of the high inflation rates, unemployment, the Vietnam War, etc. In a normal discussion, can you see where my agents and I probably were on totally different pages in regards to our personal characteristics and beliefs. If I couldn’t put my mind into the mind of a ten-year-old who grew up in1975, we were bound to have issues. In 1955 I had never even heard of illicit drug use, never! If I am talking to a ten-year-old from 1965, do you think we may have opposing views on the growing drug culture?
If you find it difficult to relate to someone, it is probably because you either haven’t tried to discover what the person’s beliefs are or you automatically dismiss them as being irrational and even unacceptable and never question why you believe that to be true.
What do you think the characteristics and beliefs are that YOUR ten-year-old son or daughter is developing if they become ten in 2022 or 2023? For starters, they are being taught that they live in a country that was founded and based upon systematic racism and that most, if not all, white people are racists. They are also being taught in school, on tel-a-vision and in the movies to hate their country. In 1955 I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio which was truly a “melting pot” of almost every nationality, every religion, and every skin color. I lived in a neighborhood, went to schools, played on sports teams with every imaginable type of person, nationality and religion. I don’t remember ever discussing the word “racism”, nor did I personally ever witness any overt acts of racism towards any Blacks that I knew personally.
For a second,
assume that YOU are a TEN-YEAR-OLD growing up in 2023. What are you being exposed to on a daily
basis? Here are just a few of the terms
and buzz words that YOUR TEN-YEAR-OLD SELF, (and if you have 10-year-old
children) are being exposed to that was taken directly from the Internet:
SOCIAL JUSTICE, in contemporary politics, social science, and political philosophy, the fair treatment
and equitable status of all individuals and social groups within a state or society. The term also is used to refer to social,
political, and economic institutions, laws, or policies that collectively
afford such fairness and equity and is commonly applied to movements that seek
fairness, equity, inclusion, self-determination, or other goals for currently or historically oppressed,
exploited, or marginalized populations.

SYSTEMIC RACISM: systemic racism is far more than a matter of racial prejudice and individual bigotry. It is a material, social, and ideological reality that is well-imbedded in major U.S. institutions.—Joe R. Feaginhttps://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/systemic%20racism
RACISM: a belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial
differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. Ladino elites used racism to
justify the displacement and enslavement of the indigenous population, and
these beliefs, along with the resentment created by the continued exploitation
of indigenous land and labor, culminated in the Guatemalan Civil War
(1960-1996).—Mariana Calvo https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/racism
These are just a few of
the buzz words. Again, assuming that YOU
are a 10-year-old, would you honestly understand any of the official Internet
definitions provided? At 10, would you
even care? “Clear as mud!” as we used to
say.
Throw into the mix the extremely
confusing ADULT (QUESTIONABLE) attempts to explain gender identification
to a 10-year-old YOU. Would you
understand it? Why are schools even
teaching it? School teachers are taught
to teach school, most are NOT qualified and/or trained to teach
subjects that would or should normally require a medical expert to be qualified
to teach or counsel. REMEMBER, YOU
ARE THE 10-YEARS OLD!
Confusing the 2023
situation even further would be difficult, if not impossible, for the
10-year-old YOU, NOT to witness on tel-a-vision, the repeated news
coverage of gangs of up to 100 or more Black youths and young men and women
ransacking commercial retail stores.
Regardless of YOUR skin color or even your current age, what message
is being sent to YOU when YOU watch such events? Is it not difficult to begin to lump ALL Blacks
in the category of criminals you are watching on the late news?
You either condemn the
criminal activities or you think, “good for them.” There can be no in between! Criminal behavior is NEVER ACCEPTABLE
BEHAVIOR IN A CIVILIZED SOCIETY!
Yet YOU, the 10-year-old see this repeated all across the country
and there never appears to be anyone ever held accountable as if the store
owners and employees are considered not to be victims of such behavior. Stores all across the country are closing
their doors because of the financial loss and personal ruination by these gangs
of criminals who are systematically destroying the very towns they live in.
If Dr. Massey is right,
and given the 50 years since I attended his class on the subject, I believe he
is, what is YOUR 10-year-old BRAIN LEARNING ABOUT SUCH SUBJECTS AS
MENTIONED ABOVE?
The very sad part about
all of this is the TOTAL SILENCE coming from Black Leaders throughout
the country. Where are the
politicians? Where are the Hollywood
celebrities? Where are the professional
sports heroes? Why are they not speaking out about this outrageous behavior and
educational indoctrinations? CRICKETS!!! SILENCE IS ACCEPTANCE!
I never believed in systemic
racism in America. Yes, there was the
era of brutal slavery but if you check the record books, almost every country on
the plant engaged in slavery at some point in their history and that includes
slaves of all skin colors including white skinned people. Yet that is what our children are being
taught and led to believe. What possible
other conclusions could they come to if that is all they are taught? Keep in mind, no matter what the subject, the
thought process of most people is that if everyone is doing something, it must
be alright to do it. In the case of the gangs of youths and young men and
women, there is another rule-of-thumb that people follow; there is safety in
numbers.
Maybe all this is okay
with you; it not okay with me. In my
opinion, repeat, opinion, America is circling the drain as everyone stands by and
only watches the destruction.
